Introducing Mercatus Rx, a new company working to bring market-based economics back into pharmacy to deliver value-based solutions.

Why did we do this? What brought a physician, a legendary athlete and pharmacy executive together to form a company like this, now? It is simple, no matter our backgrounds, we see the same problem, a lack of accessibility and affordability with prescription drugs, particularly brand medications. And we are not the only ones who see it, from congressional investigations, FTC lawsuits and continuous scrutiny from the media, this is a problem that has plagued us for too long. We want to work with all stakeholders to solve this problem, because it is only together that we can solve it. It is time the end consumer is allowed to take control of what their healthcare and premium dollars go toward.

We want to be part of the solution. To that end, initially we will be providing the following services:

     - Specialized discount card services for employers, colleges and universities and other organizations.

     - Sourcing solutions for self insured employers that do not require harsh plan edits or utilize manufacturer assistance programs.

     - Non traditional pharmacy services such as pet care, large animal veterinary supply and others.
